Esto Indie is a leading beverage and goods broker of local craft cider and beer, dedicated to bringing unique and high-quality local products to restaurants, bars, and other retail outlets across the Treasure Valley. We currently represent Woodland Empire Brewing, Meriwether Cider, and Lost Grove Brewing. Our team is passionate about the local community and beverage industry and we're looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our growing team.

Description: Esto Indie is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic salesperson to join our team. To represent Woodland Empire, Meriwether Cider, and Lost Grove Brewing. We prioritize creating a positive workplace with a strong team, a fun environment, and of course great beer and cider. We are seeking a salesperson with excellent people skills who is all about building and maintaining relationships. This person will be the connection between our brands and local bars, restaurants, and retailers with the goal of getting all brands product in those locations. Cultivating strong relationships, listening and responding to client feedback, and being an enthusiastic brand ambassador for the three local companies are key functions. This salesperson will also be responsible for setting up and working small events at accounts such as tap takeovers, and working occasional events such as beer festivals and other outside events. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a representative for Esto Indie in the Treasure Valley area

  • Maintain strong client relationships with existing accounts through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits to ensure clients have the beer and cider they want, updated tap handles, are informed of upcoming releases, and are educated about the current beers and cider they have on tap

  • Identify and engage with potential new accounts through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits. Provide samples and effectively pitch products and mission to these accounts to get our brands product in their businesses and develop strong relationships for continued sales

  • Maintain meticulous and detailed sales notes on each account using Ekos

  • Communicate with the sales manager about client needs including requests for current, previous, or new product styles

  • Attend and work events at bars and restaurants to help drive sales and promote the brands. Brainstorm additional new events that will engage both the business owners and customers

  • Coordinate with our brands marketing directors to create needed sales materials such as sales sheets, product information, event materials, or swag

 

Education and Experience:  

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • At least 2 years experience in the craft beer industry either working for a brewery, cidery, or in a restaurant or bar that focuses on craft beverages

  • Previous experience working in a customer service job

 

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record

The ideal candidate for this job will have: 

  • The ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • The ability to multitask and make thoughtful decisions quickly in a fast-paced and evolving work environment

  • Knowledge of craft beverages and the community surrounding it

  • Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures

  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment

  • Leadership skills and motivation to proactively generate new ideas 

  • Data management skills that allow them to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports

  • A good understanding of quality assurance/quality control and problem-solving skills

  • Strong people skills including the ability to remember buyer’s and business owner’s names, the motivation to anticipate needs for individual bars and restaurants and a genuine interest in building relationships 

 

Equipment, Machines, and Software Used:

This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, telephone, calculator, Jockey box, CO2 setup, and POS system. 

 

Computer Software: Ekos Brewmaster and the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets

Prior knowledge of how to operate sales programs and software is not required but is a bonus. 

 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 65LBs into the back of a truck or car

  • Need to have the ability to pour and serve beer for at least 2 hours at a time

  • Have the capacity to remember people’s names and faces, as well as descriptions of beers and ciders

  • Be able to control your alcohol intake and have an excellent sense of appropriate alcohol consumption in professional circumstances 

  • Comfort with driving for long periods of time for restaurant and bar visits or deliveries 

  • An understanding and comfort in dealing with intoxicated people
